Sharline Joseph began her hair journey at the young age of 12. Her desire to perfect her craft led her to attend the New England Hair Academy where she completed the barber certification program. As she continued her journey, she attended the Empire Beauty School where she completed a rigorous certification process in cosmetology. She currently holds dual licensing in barbering and cosmetology solidifying her as “A Master Barber Stylist”. Sharline believes hair is a defining characteristic of the human body. It takes years of experience for a barber to master diverse and complex forms of hair. Most barbers focus on simply cutting hair and beards, but with her cosmetology experience, she knows that hair care is more than a simple cut. It starts from the root with the scalp and proper hygiene. Each client's experience will differ based on his desired style, physical and cultural characteristics of his hair. Sharline looks to master new techniques and styles, always understanding that there is always room for growth.

Sharline was first mentored by Louie Fernelis, owner of Louie's Hair Cuts, located at the prestigious Boston University campus. She has worked for and managed a Supercuts location in Brighton, MA. After over 14 years of experience, Sharline moved to Denver, CO where she worked at Finley’s Barber Shop located across Union Station. As of January 13th, 2021, Sharline currently occupies her own space, Emilie Joe's Barber Shop, located at 8000 E Quincy Ave Denver, CO 80237.
